Chapter 1093 has many regular events, all open to the public. We also host school, scout and other groups for educational events. If your group would like to schedule an event please contact Sarah Pagano!
Chapter Meetings are held on the first Saturday of every month from 10:00-11:00. The public is welcome to join us for an aviation related speaker and some "hangar flying".
A Young Eagles flight is a FREE flight for children age 8-17. Chapter 1093 hosts these flights on the second Saturday of every month from 9:00-12:00, weather permitting.
Adult permission is necessary. Please register at YoungEaglesDay.org.
Except in special circumstances parents do not accompany their children on the flights in order to accommodate as many children as possible.
We also ask that you limit your Young Eagles ride to once per year so that others may get the chance to experience the thrill of flight.
Chapter 1093 hosts two fundraising pancake breakfasts: May 2 and September 12, 2020.
EAA Chapter 1093 is proud to sponsor Aviation Camp for students entering 9th grade through 12th grade in fall of 2020. Aviation Camp meets daily, Monday through Friday, 10am-4:30pm on
June 15-19, 2020.
Students will be introduced to many aspects of the world of aviation and space through hands on experiences. From airplanes and aerodynamics to weather and flight navigation, campers gain students gain experience by visiting airplane hangers, talking with the builder/owners, learning about careers in aviation, meeting aviation professionals at local corporations and visiting the nearby MBS control tower.
Aviation Camp is held at the Midland EAA Ormond Barstow Aviation Education Center at the Midland Jack Barstow Airport on Airport Road between Eastman Road and Sturgeon Road. Tuition is $90 for five days. Scholarships are available.
The 2019 Aviation Camp is currently full. To be put on the waiting list and/or on the contact list for next year's camp please contact Sarah Pagano, Camp Administrator, at 989-525-5206 or email email@example.com.
Santa Clause is coming in town but he's not bringing the reindeer this time! While Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph enjoy some time off before their big around-the-world flight Santa will be hopping into an airplane to visit the children of Midland!!
On Sunday, December 6th from 1:00pm-2:00pm enjoy various children's craft stations while you await for Santa to arrive.
At 2:00pm we will go outside to watch Santa land. He will then greet the crowd and the children will have the opportunity to sit on his lap and give him their letter (which they wrote at a craft station).
Depending on weather Santa will either remain outside by the aircraft or will come inside.
Everyone who believes in the Magic of Christmas is invited to this FREE holiday event.
